Disturbing headline from JMU's web site:
ALUMNI, SHOW US YOUR CORNHOLE SKILLS!
Sign up for the first-ever Alumni vs. Students Cornhole Competition, hosted by the Student Ambassadors and JMU Alumni Association. Join us for free food and show the students how to play cornhole-alumni style! Register today.
I am really not sure what to make of this. Disturbing is really an understatement.
ReplyDeleteDo they also have best of show in the Buggery Buggy parade?
And apparently it is a team sport, according to the registration form:

The picture of the students happily holding up their index fingers says it all, I think. GO TEAM!
Alls I know is that I'm upping my alumni contribution this year if it goes to these kinds of student programs.
ReplyDeleteCan we make this a dilettante activity????
ReplyDeleteMan, I know they have a lot of clubs here now but geeez.......
ReplyDeleteegads! I might have to email a George Carlin bit on this subject to the Alum office.
ReplyDeleteIs cornhole a noun or a verb?
ReplyDeleteDear Kevstar -- I always thought it was a noun. Shows what I know.
ReplyDeleteIt can be either of course, but how is it used here? Noun would imply a beauty competition, verb, more of an athletic undertaking.
ReplyDeleteI do know that Backdoor Santa is definitely a noun...
