  2. What if we changed it to GIMLET...maybe it's the letter B that you find offensive...?

  3. Funny you should mention giblet...the word I hate MORE THAN ANY OTHER WORD (saying a lot) is niblet. Whatever marketing genius came up with those corn niblets -- I'd like to throttle. Seriously...if anyone ever wanted to get state secrets out of me (I have so many), they should tie me to a chair and say "niblet" like, twice. Done. I'm out. I've blabbed.

  4. While you're throttling, can you throw a few jabs at the one who came up with "spork"? An offense to flatware the world over, I tell you.

  5. Ri -- Funny you should mention the whole "spork" thing:

  6. I'm gonna buy you a grill that spells out Li'l Niblet for xmas.

Don't worry, I'll wait until you've had many gimlets to give it to you. Gimlets pair well with giblet niblets.

  7. Re: the spork post. I'm not at all surprised that we are sympatico on this.

I am, however, surprised and a not a little impressed that you remembered posting about that nearly four and a half years ago. Meanwhile, I can't remember what I had for lunch last Thursday....

  9. Ri - this blog is my baby. I remember first posts like I remember first steps.

Also, it involves a lot of poop and sometimes keeps me awake at night.

Have I taken that metaphor far enough?

  10. I was not going to mention this, but since there's no new post to distract me I can't contain myself.

Where does "dooblet" fit into the equation? I mean, you might hate it because of the "blet" part, but it involves an accidental poop discharge and passing gas, so there is a chance you'd love that.

  11. Dilettard - It's like you're inside my head. I do love "dooblet" but based on definition alone. If it meant "lacy doily" or something, it would go on the "hate" list.

Oh...and I hate the word "doily."
