Correct -ish

My mother has a tendency to remember names of things her own way. That is to say, her brain translates them into often more accurate phrasing that is not correct, but is one hundred percent more entertaining. She is not only well aware of this, but also refers to this propensity as "CE" meaning "close enough," - you can enjoy a couple of examples I previously wrote about here

She was at our house for Thanksgiving dinner this year. While I was setting the table for dinner, I included a Christmas cracker at everyone's place, which we opened after the meal. In addition to some groaner jokes and trivia, the crackers had a list of charades prompts, so we all took turns acting them out and guessing.

One of my prompts was "SpongeBob SquarePants." I began by signaling that it was television, that it was four words, and for the second word, I flipped the ends of my hair into a bob hairstyle, which my daughter immediately guessed. Maintaining that momentum, I went to the third word, and outlined a square shape in the air. It was at this moment I could see my Mom had determined what the answer was and she excitedly blurted out: "SQUARE BOB SHORT PANTS"

Which I repeated, while hyperventilating from laughing, about sixteen times.

When I recovered, her husband noted, "that's almost as funny as her recently referring to Post Malone as POST MORTEM."

Which I think we can all agree is a much catchier name for the singer.
