Is This Thing On?

Yes! I do speaking engagements. I am available to speak to your group or organization and will read your (or my) favorite posts or columns, or speak on a topic of your choice.

I have done approximately eight trillion presentations in my corporate life -- to trade show audiences, investors, media, clients and volunteers for large national associations.

Additionally, I have some actual training:

Part-time Faculty Member (really!), University of Phoenix, Reston, VA, campus
  • I taught in-classroom graduate marketing and undergraduate marketing, management, public relations and public speaking courses to professional adult students. (Note that I am not including the years I taught here, so you cannot question the value of your degree if you had me as a professor. Who are we kidding? It's the University of Phoenix...I think we all know the value of your degree.)
Media Training, Fairfax County Office of Public Affairs, Fairfax, VA

Media Training, The ProMarc Agency, Washington, DC

Media Training, Ready for Media, Santa Monica, CA

Media Training, NRA Institute for Legistlative Action, Fairfax, VA

Presentation Training, Sherry Moreau Presentation Positives
Dale Carnegie Course – Recipient of Outstanding Performance, Vision, and Crashing Through awards; second place for Highest Achievement award (I was voted "best speech" one night after referring to myself as a "big, fat liar" during my talk. This is completely true.)

Dale Carnegie High Impact Presentations Course

I've also taken some stand-up comedy and improv classes...and I can juggle.

(My contract rider is a little on the "high-maintenance" side, so budget some extra time for that in your planning.)

Speaking engagements I've done:

May 10, 2012 - Vale Club, Oakton, Virginia, which raised a tiny fraction of a percentage of  A MILLION DOLLARS for FamilyPASS. A clip from that event:
