Coinkydink?

Oh, for chrissakes...I take one week off from blogging to go on a quiet family vacation and look what happens:

- Ed McMahon, Farrah Fawcett and Michael Jackson die
- Gene Weingarten takes the Post buyout
- Governor Sanford joins the growing ranks of those espousing family values while simultaneously getting a little Argentinian sumpin sumpin on the side

I shall never desert you again, gentle readers.

One time, we went backpacking for a week and when we came back, Princess Diana had died. Another weekend in the backcountry claimed the life of JFK Jr. And a week-long cruise in 2004 brought us home just in time to mourn Johnathan Brandis.

So, for the record, I was home ALL week. This one is all on you, K.

Ri - Alright, alright...
ZenMom - You should totally alert the news outlets every time you go on vacation...murderer. (You know I mean that in the best possible way.)

I have Billy Joel/Elton John tix in July. Don't F it up for me, ok?

Brutalism said...

Dilettante - I promise there will be no travel on or around July 11th. (ZenMom better promise same.)

You especially don't want anything to happen to Billy Joel now that he's back on the market. (But alas, you are not. The timing has never been right for you two, has it?)

If Tard doesn't bring back some baubles from Budapest, I might be on the market, you know how it is.

Before anyone asks about Billy Mays -- I was in town. That one's not on me.

I was going to leave you a comment about this post, but then I saw your sidebar and your answers about drinking too much and swinging-- now I can't remember anything I was going to say...

FGIS - To my credit, even with all the drinking (and the fact I live in the suburbs, which are supposedly a swinging hotbed) I have never participated (and have only been propositioned once). Not even kidding...I'm pretty sure I blogged about it...will have to find the link...

Florida Girl In Sydney said...

I had no idea the burbs were so swingin'... I really want to hear about you being propositioned!

FGIS - Found it!

No! Not Fred Travalena, too! Sheesh! Is anyone even LEFT in Hollywood now?

Krennie said...

Gale Storm also, but I'm sure none of you remember her. Same day as Billy Mays

Fred Travalena is on the Walk of Fame? No disrespect to the dead, but I guess they'll put anyone on there.

Reading the wiki site about Walk of Fame informs me that the stars a) need to show up for their placement and b) must pay $2500. So it's just like Who's Who of American College Students or one of those other vanity books. Hopefully some day they will add a blogging category.

Ooh! Ooh! Then B-rut could get 2 stars ala MJ and Diana Ross (1 for Brutalism and 1 for the Dils). So exciting.

Better go dress shopping, K. You'll want something sexy, but not so tight you can't kneel down to unveil the star.

Heh heh "unveil the star".

Jason said...

For the star unveiling you could always just follow Jack's example. You already did invent the consummate outfit after all.

Mother of invention and all that....

And let's not forget that you missed the World Spittle Projecting Championships in Beaumont, TX!

Truly -- I can never go on vacation again, Organic Meatbag. (I love your name -- I will throw it in there as much as I can, Organic Meatbag. Is that okay with you, Organic Meatbag?)
