Vowing to Figure this Out

One of my resolutions was to finally print and frame some photos from my wedding...

...that occurred almost 15 years ago.

I'm an overachiever.

And while looking through the almost 500 photos this morning, I came across this:

That is not my husband, it is a good friend of mine. I did not crop this photo...nor were we in a wind tunnel. I have no memory of this and wonder how our wedding photographer found the absinthe we had stashed just for family members.

Then again, here is a photo of me from that same friend's wedding a year before mine:

Also not my husband.
It all comes full circle.

Oddly enough, my only thought upon seeing the second photo was, "Why is he wearing her shoes?".

Jane - Wedding photos: always a mystery...

You don't tug on Superman's cape, you don't spit into the wind, and you definitely do NOT lick a preppy's khakis. At least, that's how I think that Jim Croce song goes.
My only thoughts after sifting through my wedding photos were, "why the hell did we hire that obviously drunken hobo with a camera to take pictures of us, and how did she convince us to take the most stilted, artificial pictures of us doing the most trite nonsense in the world?"

Helpful in interpreting the first photo is the knowledge that your wedding took place in an exhibit of fine art glass. Brutalism at Weddings would be a nice coffee table photo book.

Kath - Seriously. I'm 8 inches from him -- and apparently just out of wind tunnel range. And where was this? In the glass exhibit? Backstage?
