I Think I Deserve Extra Credit

Yesterday, I was hard at work playing games at Sporcle and came upon this quiz:

Can you name the words that end in 'cle'?

That included the following questions:

1) It gets in the way of success - (to which I correctly replied "obstacle")

2) Item in the news, or just 'the' - (to which I correctly replied "article")

3) Mr. Peanut has one - (to which I correctly replied "monocle")

4) Lance Armstrong has one - (to which I INCORRECTLY, according to Sporcle, replied - "testicle")

Sporcle automatically filled in the answer "bicycle" for me.

I liked my answer better,

Sporcle should have seen the Lance Armstrong testicle coming.

Another word ending in 'cle:'

What can this comment be considered?

debacle

I can't believe you didn't get credit for that. It's so obvious! I never in a million years would have guessed bicycle over testicle. Nobody would. You were robbed!!!

Great minds think alike! I would have answered the same.

Testicle could actually work as the answer to all of them. I think you were trying to hard.

Moooooog35 - They obviously did, as they defaulted to "bicycle" immediately, which means they must also consider that a correct answer. Why would they not show it? (The answer...not the testicle...)

Sarah - I think the people at Sporcle were having a good laugh over that one.

Abby - Surprisingly, Brutalism readers are all coming up with the same answer. I'm shocked. SHOCKED!

Christian - I was thinking that about Mr. Peanut...but you're right...it definitely applies to all the questions. Sporcle is filthy.

Dazee - He definitely has more than one bike. Nice point.

Lies. You should have gotten partial credit.

OGLADI - I should demand a recount. I'll send a nasty gram demanding that my answer be counted as also correct.

No, I won't.
