It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas

Ahhh...the magic of the holidays. A time for dinner dates with Herman Cain, sartorial rants and plenty of elf martinis.

And that's just the first party of the season...

With apologies to Counting Crows, it appears that it will be a long December...

Elf martinis? I don't buy it. Not once have I been able to convince an elf to carry an olive into my drink. I've tried it all.

The wonderful Czech language ( you must at least know their word for beer, Kathleen?) includes a word that describes the triangle of shirt that sticks out if you don't tuck it in and then you put a sweater or jacket on. Podolek. Which literally means skirt. These are my people.

I agree with Kevin about the grain tootsy trousers, especially for the holidays, but he lost me at concubine breath shoes. That's just gross.

Coincedence that as I pulled up your blog for the first time, it was this post and It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas was on the radio? I think not.

Looking forward to reading more!
